SURPRISE!

SURPRISE!

Praise the Lord!

While I was sitting with the Lord yesterday, he gave me the word “Surprise.” I said, “What surprise do you have in store?” “How could the demonic be taken by surprise?” The Lord reminded me that the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary , they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (2 Cor. 10:14)

In my mind, the Lord brought me up to the top of a mountain looking out on the world. “What do you see, was the thought that came to mind?” I see masks on people’s faces. Underneath the masks are people who are hurting but no one sees. Their expressions are covered, hidden from sight. They haven’t been touched by another human for weeks because of physical distancing. Fears everywhere. You could almost touch it. The media feeds on it to create fear which multiplies with every report. The airwaves are filled with lies and toxic words. Fear is the breeding ground for negative words and lies.

“I said Lord how can this happen?” l heard the words, through ignorance, misinformation, exaggeration, manipulation, lies, apathy, deception, confusion, dissemination, division, complaining, dissatisfaction , grumbling. Then the thought came, “40 days of praise!” We should be doing this anyway, but making a concentrated, dedicated effort.

Declare a scripture of praise and release it over yourself, over your family, church, neighborhood, city, state, country. Some people fast food TV etc. We are to fast negative words; break agreements with the negative words we have heard, agreed with and allowed to be repeated from our lips. We are to speak the words of praise for 40 days. Praise is the weapon that will “Surprise” the enemy and one he cannot defend against. Spread the word. Begin now.

Check “Comments” above for suggested prayers each day. You can say your own or use these. Once you get through the 1-10, start over for day 11, 21,31.

4 Replies to “SURPRISE!”

  1. Begin each day with: “I break agreement with every negative word I’ve heard, accepted and repeated. I now declare and decree: (Include others by name, if possible, as an act of faith – speaking those things that are not as though they are.)

Day 1, 11, 21, 31 Suggestion – Psalms 145:1-3: “We (me, family names, neighbors, city, state, country, world) will extol (praise) You, our God, our King; and we will bless Your name forever and ever. Today we bless You and we praise Your name forever and ever. Great are You Lord, and highly to be praised; and Your greatness is unsearchable.”

Day 2, 12, 22, 32 Suggestion – Psalms 145:4-6: “Lord, My generation (my children, my grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, neighborhood, city, state, country) shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty and remarkable acts. On the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wonderful works, we will meditate. My family, neighborhood, city, state and country wilt speak of the power of Your awesome acts and with gratitude and submissive wonder we will tell of Your greatness.”

Day 3, 13, 23, 33 Suggestion – Psalms 145:7-9: “Me, my family, neighbors, city, state, country shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness, and shall shout joyfully of Your righteousness Lord You are gracious and merciful; slow to anger and great in loving kindness. Lord you are good to all, and Your mercies are over all Your works.”

Day 4, 14, 24, 34 Suggestion – Psalms 145:10-12: “All Your works shall give thanks to You Lord, And Your godly ones (me, family members, neighbors, friends, city, state, country) shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your Kingdom, and talk of Your power; to make known to . . . those who do know how much You love them . . . Your mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of Your Kingdom.”

Day 5, 15, 25, 35 Suggestion – Psalms 145:13-15: ”Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Lord You sustain all (me, names of family, neighbors, city, state, country) who fall, and raise up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to You and You will give us food in due time.”

Day 6, 16, 26, 36 Suggestion – Psalms 145:16-18: “You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. Lord You are righteous in all Your ways, and kind in all Your deeds. Lord You are near to all who call upon You, to all (me, family, friends, neighbors, city, state, country) who call upon You in truth.”

Day 7, 17, 27, 37 Suggestion – Psalms 145:19-21: “You will fulfill the desire of those who fear You; and You will also hear their cry and will save them. Lord You keep all who love You; but all the wicked (those who harden their hearts and refuse to repent of their evil deeds – who call evil good and good evil) You will destroy. My mouth will speak of the praise of the Lord; and all flesh (family names, friends, neighbors, city, state, country) will bless Your holy name forever and ever.”

Day 8, 18, 28, 38 Suggestion – Psalms 146:1-3 “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! We (me, my family, neighbors, city, state, country) will praise the Lord while we live; and we will sing praises to our God while we have our being. Do not trust in princes, in mortal man (human beings, people), in whom there is no salvation.”

Day 9, 19, 29, 39 Suggestion – Psalms 146:4-7: “When man’s spirit departs, his body returns to earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. [Jesus changed that on the cross. Your thoughts will go with you to heaven or hell, you choose. (John 3:16) “For God so loved the world – you and me — that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in His shall not perish, but have eternal life.] How blessed are we (names of family, neighbors, city, state, country) whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord out God; who made heaven and earth, the seas and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever; who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free (trapped in drugs, depression, disease, heartbreak, etc.).

Day 10, 20, 30, 40 Suggestion – Psalms 146:8-10: “Lord, You open the eyes of the blind; You raise up those who are bowed down; Lord, You love the righteous (me, my family, neighbors, city, state, country). You protect the strangers; You support the fatherless and the widow; but You thwart the way of the wicked. Lord You will reign for ever and my God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord!”

  2. I think many many are hearing the same word. I know that was the case in Oklahoma and people came from all different states. I would just keep praying and put it on your blog. The redeemed of the Lord are hearing and responding and as we pray for the whole body of Christ to rise up and pray- I know the body will get the same message you did. Love you!
